Shower for Baby Hayden

If you follow my personal blog you will have already seen these pictures from a baby shower I helped decorate last year. A few weekends ago I visited Leslie, the guest of honor, (who has since moved to a different state) and was able to meet sweet baby Hayden for the first time. I was also given pictures of the shower from Leslie's sister's camera, so I wanted to share a compilation of our photos on this blog.

The shower took place at La Duni, one of my favorite restaurants in Dallas, but we didn't have much time to decorate beforehand (30 minutes) so we had to get creative with what we could and could not do. Leslie's sister and I coordinated the flowers and decor over email and we just crossed our fingers that it would all blend! We used orange, pink, brown and a touch of green as our color scheme.

We tied tulle bows onto each chair to help add a pop of color.

We also alternated pink, brown and green vintage straws in the water glasses at each place setting.

The menu cards at each place setting were designed by Three.

I made these letters as decor for the shower, but also as a gift for Leslie to put in Hayden's nursery after he was born. I used this DIY and tweaked it a little bit but you can also Google "DIY Mod Podge Nursery Letters" and there are several links you can follow to make your own.

These are my absolute favorite cupcakes in the world: La Duni's Cuatro Leches Cupcakes. To. Die. For.

La Duni passed strawberry and mango limeades and lemonades around as guests arrived.

Me and the mommy-to-be, Leslie

I met Leslie my first day on the job when I used to work at Anthropologie. I walked in and she waved to me as if we were already best friends (it was her first day too)! These are all of our Anthro friends who attended the shower: Amanda, Nancy, Amy, Leslie, Molly, me and Jenni.

Thanks to all the hostesses for helping to make the shower a success!
